I believe there is an error in my SAT 2011 Princeton Review Book?

I believe that the book is wrong, because if you take out the unnecessary parts of the sentence in that area, making it "None ___ native to this part of the world", 'are' would be the correct choice, not 'is'. But that's just me, i could be wrong!
